Pinjore is a part of Panchkula district of the state of Haryana. It is located at the confluence of river Jhajjar and Kaushalya (tributaries of Ghaggar) in the lower Shivalik ranges. It is an ancient religious and historical place and derives its name from Panchpura- the town of Pandavs.
 
Built in the 17th century by Aurangzeb’s architect and foster brother Fidai Khan, appointed as the Governor of Punjab. Fidai Khan was possibly inspired by the springs of Pinjore. Pinjore Heritage Festival

Haryana Tourism has started  organizing the Pinjore HeritageFestival since 2006 at the world famous Yadavindra Gardens,Pinjore to celebrate the century old heritage of Pinjore town and its gardens. So far, three such festivals have been organized.

The Pinjore Heritage Festival projects the ancient heritage of the town of Pinjore and the Yadavindra Gardens in their 17th  century grandeur. Cultural evenings are hosted during the festival in which the most gifted artists of the nation regale the audience by showcasing their talents in their inimitable style. Variety of cuisine has been the hall mark of the food bazaar which is put up during the festival. It contains a wide range of both simple vegetarian and delectable non-vegetarian dishes.
