Haryana Tourism is organizing  4^th Pinjore Heritage  Festival from 18^th to 20^th December,2009 at Yadavindra Gardens, Pinjore to celebrate the  centuries old heritage of Pinjore town and its Gardens. The Pinjore Heritage Festival will project the ancient heritage of the town of Pinjore and the Yadavindra Gardens. Built in the 17^th century by Emperor Aurangzeb’s Architect and foster brother, Fidai Khan, appointed as the Governor  of Punjab, this “Garden Palace” has been laid and curated on a classical plan of Shalimar Gardens of Kashmir. This unique Garden has been laid at seven levels on a descending scale. The Garden comprises a central water channel (the inspiration), three principle terraces, axial plan, two square enclosures, corner bastions, gates at the ends of the central axis and cross  axis , pavillion  and palaces namely; the Sheesh Mahal, the Rang Mahal and the Jal Mahal along the central axis.

A street bazaar reminiscent  of the Mughal times would be created with shops and clusters of stalls, tented pavilion ,food plaza, performance stage etc. The entrance gate, parking area as well as the entire Gardens would be illuminated in the evenings in a manner which would enhance the pristine beauty of these Gardens by highlighting its architectural, aesthetic and landscape splendor.

The festival will remain open from 11.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m on all the three days.

Haryana Roadways has made special arrangements for plying of the buses between Chandigarh-Panchkula-Pinjore and back at short intervals.
